The Grand Garcia: Inside Sergio & Angela Garcia’s Austin, Texas Home

Graceful Spaces was my favorite part of the move! They came in and decluttered and organized basically every space in our home. Their help is well worth the money! Graceful Spaces shows true professionalism, and all of their organizers are so kind and courteous. I will definitely be using them again!

Planning For a Dynamic Household

The Grand Garcia is the culmination of nearly four years of thoughtful planning and building for Sergio and Angela Garcia and their family. Set in the hills of Austin, Texas, this one-of-a-kind property spans multiple structures and reflects an extraordinary level of intention — from architectural details and curated art to subtle nods honoring Sergio’s celebrated golf career.

Every element of the home reflects a deep appreciation for design, craftsmanship, and legacy. Yet despite its scale and sophistication, what stood out most when we first walked through the space was not the grandeur — it was the warmth. Children’s artwork taped to the walls of an incredible kitchen, spaces designed not just to impress but to be lived in, and a home already full of joy, laughter, and the promise of countless memories ahead.

This project was completed through our Signature Organizing service and designed to support a highly dynamic lifestyle shaped by frequent travel, family life, and a dedicated on-site support team. The goal was never to create systems that only looked beautiful, but to design intuitive, elevated solutions that allow the home to function seamlessly — whether the family is home or traveling.

Another meaningful layer of this project was Angela’s genuine love for organization. She came into the process with a thoughtful collection of product from their previous home that she hoped to integrate into the new space. This allowed our product team to work intentionally with existing inventory, supplementing where needed and introducing new solutions where appropriate. Throughout every decision, Angela’s top priority remained clear: functionality that supports real life.

With multiple family members, household staff who live on site, and additional team members who help manage and maintain the property, this home required systems that were clear, consistent, and easy to understand for everyone involved. From product selection to zoning and specific requests, many voices played a role — and our responsibility was to bring those needs together into a cohesive, highly functional whole.

The result is a home that feels undeniably luxurious, yet deeply personal — extravagant in its craftsmanship, but grounded in everyday life.

Signature Organizing is one of Graceful Spaces’ core services — designed for clients who want thoughtful, fully customized systems that support how their family truly lives. From full-home projects to complex households with evolving needs, this service brings clarity, ease, and long-term functionality to every space.

The Course Map: Planning with Purpose

Early conversations focused on the spaces that would carry the most weight in daily life. A dedicated travel zone for the family was essential, as was thoughtful planning around the chef’s kitchen and pantry to ensure his workflow felt seamless and fully supported. These spaces set the tone for the rest of the home, establishing a foundation that balanced structure with flexibility.

As we walked through the approach and began discussing product and layout possibilities, what initially started as a focus on a few primary spaces naturally expanded. Seeing how cohesive systems could simplify the day-to-day operations of the household shifted the scope toward a full-home solution — one designed to work quietly in the background, even when the family is traveling.

What ultimately gave Angela confidence moving forward was the combination of trust and tangibility. Being able to see and touch product, paired with strong recommendations from others who had worked with Graceful Spaces, reinforced that this approach would deliver both beauty and function without overcomplicating everyday life.

Mastering the Details

Product selection for The Grand Garcia was approached with intention, restraint, and a clear understanding of how the home would function well beyond move-in day. Guided by detailed insight into the home’s layout and finishes, we curated selections that felt cohesive with the overall aesthetic while supporting the rhythms of everyday life. Each product was chosen to integrate seamlessly into the space — enhancing function without drawing attention to itself.

Angela brought a clear point of view to the process, including thoughtful design preferences that helped shape our selections from the start. She gravitated toward light, timeless materials and shared that she enjoyed the product selection and style from a staging project we completed — which we kept in mind as a reference point throughout product planning. That clarity allowed us to make intentional choices that aligned with her vision while remaining highly functional and understated.

A System That Works for the Family and Household Staff

Throughout the process, our team worked closely with the Garcia’s assistant, whose insight — alongside Angela and Sergio — helped inform how each space would be used day to day. Understanding the family’s routines, preferences, and the practical flow of the household allowed us to design systems that are intuitive for everyone involved in maintaining the home.

A key part of the Graceful Spaces process is ensuring product decisions are made early and intentionally. Following the initial consultation, clients participate in a dedicated product design meeting, where our product team measures spaces, reviews design selections, and aligns on functionality and flow. This preparation allows us to curate and source inventory well in advance, bringing ample product on site so decisions are made with confidence and flexibility rather than limitation.

With product planning complete before installation, our team is able to fine-tune details once in the home, ensuring each system feels tailored, refined, and ready to support the family from day one. The result is a collection of systems that work quietly in the background — elevated, intentional, and designed to evolve alongside the family’s needs.

A Walk Through the Home

With the foundation in place, the home comes to life through the details. Each space within The Grand Garcia was thoughtfully organized to support both everyday living and the larger rhythms of the household — balancing visibility, accessibility, and long-term functionality.

Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, systems were tailored to how each area is used, who interacts with it most, and how it connects to the rest of the home. Below, we’ll walk through the home space by space, highlighting the solutions that allow this household to function seamlessly behind the scenes.

the kitchen & chef’s Pantry

Noteworthy Details

  • Designed around a professional rhythm.

The family’s private chef played a central role in shaping both the kitchen and pantry. While beauty and aesthetics were thoughtfully considered, functionality always led. From layout decisions to product placement, every detail was designed to support the chef’s daily flow—streamlining morning breakfasts, quick lunches, intimate family meals, and elegant dinner parties alike.

  • Intentional reuse and thoughtful refinement.

Several organizational products were repurposed from the Garcias’ previous home, seamlessly integrated into the new space. This continuity allowed the systems to feel familiar while still being elevated—proof that thoughtful organization evolves alongside a family rather than starting from scratch each time.

  • Clear categories for a high-volume kitchen.

With an extensive inventory of ingredients, snacks, tools, and equipment, establishing clear, defined categories was essential. Without this level of structure, the space could easily become overwhelmed. Instead, every zone was designed to hold its own—maintaining order even with daily use and frequent restocking.

  • A family kitchen at its core.

Even with culinary support, the kitchen and pantry were planned to function like any active family household. Intuitive systems support lunch-making, smoothie prep, after-school snacks, and quick grab-and-go moments—ensuring the space works just as well for the kids as it does for the chef.

  • A space layered with life and legacy.

What makes these rooms truly special is the life woven into them. Handwritten memory mugs, children’s artwork taped along the kitchen walls, and meaningful mementos from Sergio’s career bring warmth and personality to the space. These details tell the story of a home that is deeply lived in—where function supports family, and design leaves room for memories to grow.

the laundry & mudroom

Noteworthy Details

  • Designed around real daily movement.

Much like the kitchen, the laundry room and mudroom were designed by first understanding who uses these spaces—and how. When multiple people move through a single zone each day, our role begins with observing routines. Those insights inform every detail: the placement of a bin, the wording on a label, the height of a shelf. The result is a level of organization that feels subtle and intuitive—so seamless it’s easy to miss just how thoughtfully it’s working.

  • Daily routines, thoughtfully supported.

Open bins were planned around real-life needs. Helmets are easy to grab and just as easy to put away, creating a visual reminder for the kids as they head out the door. Angela’s frequently used weighted vest is stored front and center—accessible, visible, and exactly where it’s needed most.

  • Personalized storage for every family member.

Inside the mudroom drawers, each family member—and guests—received their own pull-out shoe drawer. This small detail removes friction from daily routines. Shoes always have a clear home, making mornings smoother and eliminating unnecessary searching or reshuffling.

Habit building through intentional placement.

A designated “returns” bin was placed directly by the door leading to the garage. It’s a simple addition, but a powerful one—creating a consistent landing spot for items that need to go back, and reinforcing a habit the entire household can follow without reminders.

A utility drawer designed for life on the go.

One drawer was dedicated to all the “in-the-moment” essentials—hand sanitizer, bug spray, sunscreen, lip balm, bandages. Beautifully organized with drawer dividers, this drawer prevents the all-too-common scramble from room to room when something is needed quickly.

sergio’s closet

Noteworthy Details

  • Performance and daily life, intentionally integrated.

A fully dedicated golf zone was created to support both his profession and personal routine. Attire, footwear, and accessories were thoughtfully grouped together, ensuring everything needed for a day on the course is cohesive and within reach. Belts were given structured storage, hats were intentionally displayed, and garment bags and dust bags were integrated seamlessly so preparation feels effortless rather than reactive.

  • Travel, simplified and streamlined.

Recognizing the rhythm of frequent travel, we incorporated a dedicated travel and essentials drawer. This space houses the items that move with him most often, eliminating last-minute searching and allowing packing to feel calm and efficient. Sports attire was also given its own defined area—ready, visible, and separate from everyday wear.

  • Drawer storage that elevates functionality.

One of the standout features of this closet was the abundance of drawers—an uncommon luxury in most men’s closets. This generous drawer real estate allowed us to create precise categories within each space, giving every item a clear and refined home. The result is a layout that feels structured, elevated, and designed to support real life with intention.

angela’s closet

Noteworthy Details:

  • Luxury styling, thoughtfully executed.

With so many beautiful, high-impact pieces, styling was key. We approached this closet as both a wardrobe and a visual experience, ensuring each category felt curated without ever feeling overwhelming.

  • Every zone tells a story.

From her slippers to her game-day attire for Texas Longhorn games, every detail in Angela’s closet was placed with intention. The space reflects her lifestyle — vibrant, dynamic, and layered — while remaining calm, organized, and easy to navigate.

  • An ‘Essentials’ drawer for daily resets.

A custom-labeled drawer stores everything Angela needs to refresh her handbag — from lip balm and mints to sunglasses and everyday necessities — creating a seamless reset point that supports her routines.

A dedicated travel styling bay.

One entire bay was designed specifically for travel — allowing Angela to “shop her closet,” style full outfits, and build her travel wardrobe in one place before every trip.

Designing space for the in-between categories.

Cheer apparel, shapewear, and other hard-to-place items were thoughtfully accounted for — creating designated zones for pieces that typically end up scattered or forgotten. Every category was considered, no matter how specific.

  • A sneaker collection that takes center stage.

Angela has an incredible shoe collection, but her sneakers are truly her signature. We designed dedicated, highly visible storage to showcase and protect her most-worn pairs — treating them as both a functional category and a personal statement within the space.

  • Athletic wear as a top priority.

With an extensive activewear collection, athletic pieces were given prime real estate. Every zone was thoughtfully planned to support how Angela actually gets dressed day to day, making her workout wardrobe easy to see, access, and maintain.

The children’s spaces

Noteworthy Details

  • Category bins designed for long-term living.

In the kids’ closets, category-based bins were a top priority — not just for today, but with the future in mind. Dedicated zones for memories, donations, next sizes, seasonal items, and sports gear create a system that can evolve as the children grow, making it easy to reset, rotate, and maintain over time.

  • Simplified school mornings.

Uniforms were placed within easy reach, allowing the kids to get dressed independently and move through their mornings with less friction. The layout was intentionally designed to support smoother routines and more confident starts to the day.

  • Labels that teach independence.

Labels play a powerful role in children’s spaces. Beyond organization, they reinforce good habits, build life skills, and encourage a sense of ownership and pride in their environment. Every label was thoughtfully placed to support independence and consistency.

  • A dedicated gift-giving system.

We created an intentional zone for gift storage and wrapping — perfect for birthdays, holidays, and last-minute celebrations. Angela now has a place to keep gifts on hand, store them until it’s time to wrap, and access wrapping paper and supplies all in one streamlined area.

  • Grab-and-go travel kits for the kids.

For a family that’s constantly on the move, quick-access travel systems were essential. We designed a fun, easy-to-use zone where the kids can grab their own plane kits — no packing, no overthinking, just grab and go.

A Graceful Takeaway

Each Graceful Spaces project leaves us with a lesson worth sharing. Here’s what this home taught us about living well, welcoming others, and designing systems that quietly support everyday life.

Every home is shaped by the people who care for it, and true hospitality begins with how those people are supported. In the Garcia home, this meant curating a space that considers everyone who contributes to the life of the household — creating systems that feel seamless, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed. When every detail is thoughtfully considered, the home moves with ease — creating the kind of quiet support that allows Sergio and Angela to fully enjoy the life they’ve built: welcoming others, spending time with their children, and moving through each day with greater rhythm and simplicity.
