Austin Modern Home Tour
“I am beyond impressed with the exceptional service provided by Graceful Spaces! From the moment they arrived, they went above and beyond in every way possible. They not only anticipated my every need, but also added thoughtful touches that I hadn’t even considered.”
The Austin Modern Home is a beautiful example of what’s possible when intentional design and thoughtful organization work in harmony. In partnership with Butter Lutz Interiors, we were invited to complement the stunning interiors with systems designed to support real, everyday living.
Like many homeowners, there was an equal amount of excitement and overwhelm about moving into a new home. The project expanded as we noticed an opportunity to take more off this client’s plate and create a consistent system throughout the whole home.
The consultation
During our initial consultation, we discovered the client had been following Graceful Spaces on Instagram and had already implemented many of our favorite organizing solutions in her previous home. Seeing our systems and product choices applied so thoughtfully, even before we stepped through the door, was the highest compliment.
Even for someone naturally organized, moving into a new home can feel overwhelming. This client wasn’t just looking for help putting items away; she was seeking systems that would elevate how her family functioned day to day. She wanted a home that worked for them, one that made routines easier, decision-making simpler, and everyday life more seamless.
Originally, we were brought in to support the kitchen through our Sourced by Graceful Spaces service, refreshing a space filled with wedding-registry items and ensuring it was fully stocked for daily living. But as we learned more about the family’s routines and future plans, it quickly became clear that the kitchen was just the beginning.
Our team recognized the opportunity to create clarity and continuity throughout the home. The project evolved to include every zone—from the laundry room to the garage, ensuring each space reflected how this family truly lives and moves through their day.
Every Graceful Spaces consultation is designed to listen deeply, ask the right questions, and understand the unique rhythms of a household. From there, we craft systems that integrate effortlessly into the design of the home, offering not just function but flow. Behind it all is a team of experts, planners, problem-solvers, and detail-driven professionals, who approach every element with care and intention. This project was no exception.
Sourced by Graceful Spaces
What began as a focused kitchen refresh through our Sourced by Graceful Spaces service quickly expanded into a full-home experience. As move-in day approached and the stress of a move grew, the client realized she needed more than a stocked kitchen, she needed a smooth, complete transition. That’s where Sourced truly shines.
This service is the epitome of curated comfort. It ensures a home is not only beautifully organized but also fully equipped to support daily life from the moment you walk through the door. From planning to product placement, our team handles every detail with care, so you don’t have to.
“I had the pleasure of using their Sourced service and I can’t tell you how worth it it was to have all our necessities purchased and ready to go upon moving into our new home.”
Weeks before move-in, we begin with a virtual consultation to understand your family’s lifestyle, preferences, and inventory gaps. From dish pods to bath towels, small appliances to craft supplies, every item is thoughtfully selected, purchased, and placed. The result? A home that feels like yours from day one, functional, elevated, and entirely effortless.
With this Austin family, our team curated and stocked spaces across the entire home, including bathrooms, entertaining zones, the laundry, pool, garage, and bar, delivering a fully turnkey experience. It was organization, thoughtfully sourced and seamlessly executed.
A Fresh, Organized Start For the Whole Home
Tour a Specific space:
Kitchen & Pantry Organization
The kitchen was approached with the same level of precision and purpose as the rest of the home—where beauty and function were never treated as separate goals. Every decision was grounded in real life, from the discreet storage of entertaining pieces behind the island bar stools to the thoughtful curation of Sourced products across every category: kitchen essentials, indoor and outdoor entertaining, and elevated barware.
One of the home’s most thoughtful features is the outdoor pass-through window above the kitchen sink, intentionally designed for effortless al fresco living. To complement the family’s love of outdoor dining and grilling, we created a dedicated zone for entertaining essentials, placing serveware and grill tools within arm’s reach. The transition from indoor prep to outdoor hosting now feels seamless and intuitive.
Strategic storage decisions throughout the kitchen elevated both function and flow. Seasonal and indoor entertaining pieces were tucked behind the island bar stools, easily accessible yet discreetly stored. Everyday use was equally considered: with two dishwashers, one in the main kitchen and one in the pantry, we designed placement around cleanup zones to simplify routines and reduce friction. Every detail was mapped to how this family truly lives, entertains, and enjoys their space.
We also brought thoughtful structure to one of the most high-traffic, often-overlooked areas in any kitchen: under the sink. This daily-use zone is notoriously tricky, but with a perfected method and just the right product pairings, we turned it into a seamless system that supports the rhythm of the home. Shop the zone and bring this kind of function into your own home here.
The pantry in the Austin Modern is a standout moment in the home—unexpected, refined, and thoughtfully designed from every angle. While pantries are often where function takes the lead, here the design speaks just as loudly. Every finish and fixture was chosen to elevate the experience of daily life, from the sleek open shelving to the custom millwork that mirrors the home’s modern architecture. It’s a space that proves utility can still be beautiful—and that the details you don’t always see should be just as considered as those you do. The Butter Lutz team knocked it out of the park with the design, and we were thrilled to bring our organizational expertise in to complement it.
With shallow pantry drawers, maximizing space required a more refined approach. By decanting snacks and supplements into The Home Edit Canisters, we created clarity and accessibility without sacrificing function. Thoughtfully divided into purposeful zones—supplements, kids’ lunches, everyday snacks, outdoor entertaining, breakfast, and coffee, each drawer now supports a smoother start, snack, or gathering.
Lunch prep is made easy with dedicated drawer space for every essential—non-toxic Stasher bags, lunchboxes, sandwich cutters, and more are all within reach and ready to go.
When you’re moving into a new home, your instinct is to unpack and feel settled, not necessarily to think through long-term function. That’s where our team comes in. From lunch supplies to snacks and ingredients, every placement is intentional.
Design makes it beautiful. Strategy makes it livable.
The Coffee zone was vital to the family in that it included easy access to all those items for easy mornings filled with caffeine. The coffee area also included all the easy, grab and go supplements, like GU running gels. This family is very active and exercise is important to them. So, with the proximity to the garage that the coffee bar had, we pulled these supplements out of the pantry for easy access as they are out the door for a run!
Mudroom & laundry room Organization
The mudroom is one of the hardest-working areas of the home. Serving as a landing zone, storage hub, and transition space all in one. For this family, we focused on designing a space that supports daily function while maintaining a clean, clutter-free aesthetic.
We created a personalized drop zone and dedicated drawer for each family member, making it easy to keep essentials organized and out of sight. Since it was important to our client that the counters stay clear, we made sure everything had a designated place to land inside the drawers.
To create clear separation within the daughters’ drawers, we used adjustable drawer dividers paired with labeled lip tags for easy maintenance. Just above, we designated a central drawer for mail, a tidy and efficient drop zone for the whole household.
Product Spotlight
The Pacific Bins from the Container Store have easily become a favorite of ours. They bring so much character to a space.
Shop the Look
Knowing the daughters love arts and crafts, we utilized the upper cabinets to create a thoughtfully contained craft zone. This kept supplies out of reach for now, while still being easily accessible for supervised use. In the future, as the girls grow, this zone can transition upstairs to their playroom when it evolves into a homework and hangout space.
Underneath the bench, we conveniently placed our favorite Pacific Bins from The Container Store for shoes, while up above we utilized the Target Felt Basket for additional storage.
As with all of our projects, we design with today in mind, but plan for the way your home will grow with you.
The laundry room often becomes the quiet heart of the home—a multifunctional space that deserves thoughtful systems just like any other. In this home, it was especially important to create clear zones to support daily life.
Because the door to the pool is directly across from the laundry room, we established a dedicated pool zone right inside: towels, toys, sunscreen, and insect repellent all have a designated place, making outdoor transitions smooth and stress-free.
Above the washer and dryer, we created a household supply zone to house paper goods and laundry overflow. On the counter, our signature laundry tray provides a refined, functional moment, keeping everyday supplies beautifully contained and easily accessible.
The Container Store’s Callan Water Hyacinth Bin, thoughtfully selected by our Product Team, added both texture and hidden storage, proving that beauty and utility can absolutely coexist.
We created a cleaning zone with all the cleaning overflow items and a specific zone for their housekeeper to use because we love to keep house staff in mind—we’re always thinking of ways to make their lives easier along with the family’s.
Organization For Guest Spaces
Not only will family members be spending time in and around the home, but guests are an integral part of our home organization systems. The guest space upstairs was outfitted with “Help Yourself” items to create a guest haven of comfort! We used Cricut labels to help remind guests that items are for them to use and to help themselves to.
Primary Bedroom Suite Organization
In his closet, a large collection of boxed, collectible shoes needed a discreet storage solution, especially at his wife’s request to keep them tucked away. We used the large Target felt bins to contain the entire collection, creating a hidden system that’s both functional and easy for him to maintain.
To bring added structure to the space, we incorporated labeled category bins for Belts, Memories, Seasonal, and various styles of hats, giving his extensive collection a home that’s both organized and accessible.
As a watch collector, he also needed thoughtful placement for his timepieces, so we carved out dedicated space to give them the attention they deserve.
“As someone who is already extremely organized, I didn’t expect much, but they still managed to make my space even more streamlined and efficient.”
Her side of the closet was all about the display. Showcasing her handbag collection—alongside the boxes—was a top priority, and it quickly became the showstopper of the space. With handbag stuffers, acrylic easels, and Rebecka’s eye for styling, we brought her vision to life with intention and polish.
We also utilized the upper shelves for category bins, labeled for Holiday, Travel, Dust bags, and Memories, to give a structured home to the types of pieces that are important but don’t always have an obvious place. It’s these thoughtful zones that make the space both beautiful and truly livable.
A truly stunning sanctuary, the primary bath, beautifully designed by Butter Lutz Interiors, balances luxury with intention. Every detail, from finishes to functionality, was thoughtfully considered to create a space that feels both elevated and effortless.
The primary bath had separate areas for the sink and vanity for each spouse, making it easy to define zones for his side and her side.
On her side, makeup isn’t part of the daily routine, so we created a system under the sink to store her collection. Easily accessible for special occasions, but tucked away to keep the vanity area clear for everyday use.
One of our favorite features is the tiered drawer insert, typically used for spice storage, repurposed here to beautifully organize her skincare. This clever solution provides visibility at a glance while keeping the drawer clean, functional, and refined.
There was a wonderful linen closet in the bathroom that was utilized for all the personal care overflow items. Below that were 2 hampers, instead of using for his & hers, we created a custom vinyl labels“lights” & “darks”so the specific laundry habits worked for this family.
Organization For Kids’ Spaces
The girls’ rooms were filled with personality and were such a fun part of this project. One room had a slightly larger closet and bathroom, so we got creative with how we utilized the space, using that room to house shared personal care overflow for both girls.
In each closet, we implemented our signature zones for memories, next size, and too small items, a tried and true system that helps families easily manage the constant transitions that come with growing kids.
To personalize their spaces even further, we added thoughtful details like jewelry boxes and headband stands in both the closets and dressers. In the bathrooms, gold magazine holders were added to keep things tidy and elevated while still fun.
To make mornings as easy as possible for the girls, we included an additional set of their oral care and hair care items in the powder bath for any last-minute self-care needs before they head out the door in the morning. This was a great addition to make mom’s life easier and create thoughtful and efficient morning routines.
the playroom
In the playroom, the family is working with Rebecka on Building Luxury. In the meantime, we wanted to give the girls’ dress items the attention they deserved. The dress-up items were originally located in one of the girls' closets, but we brought them out and used a clothing rack with shelving and hooks, as well as a 3-tiered cart to create a dress-up dream for the them!
